Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed at determining the gains for the owners of the projects and the advisor teachers during the period of Project Study in Mathematics and Science for Primary School Students and also the difficulties in that process. A questionnaire about the gains (20 questions) and the difficulties (20 questions) that the advisor teacher observed during the Project process was applied to 182 advisor teachers who advised on 186 projects that were exhibited in the Regional Exhibition of Istanbul . It was about the project study in mathematics and science for primary school students in the academic year 2008-2009. The data obtained from the questionnaires were compared using SPSS 16.0 program in terms of the gender and seniority variables of the teachers and type of the school that they work for (public or private school) Following results have been achieved: Advisor teachers, who have been involved in the occupation for 0-5 years, better observe gains, and experience difficulties. Informing meetings and in-service trainings, which are held for advisor teachers, produced positive effects upon the advisor teacher's perspectives. However, the study shows that advisor teachers observed that the gains of the students were increased by providing a creative thinking environment and allowing the students to learn scientific methods. The findings were reached such as advisor teacher needed financial and moral support during the Project study and in the process of getting the product and exhibiting
