The relationship between empathic leniency and attitude of elementary school teachers towards club events (for example; Bağcılar district)

A study was held upon elementary teachers. The aim of the study was to determine the differences between the behavior of the club activities and the empathetic leniency. The study was held in primary schools in a small town called Bagcilar of Istanbul. In the study, 290 teachers were used as a subject. The methods that were used in the study were; relational scan model, demographic variables developed by an author to collect personal information form, empathetic leniency and behavior scales.In the study, non-parametric technique was used for the distributions which did not indicate normal distributions, and for the distributions that indicated normal distributions, several techniques were used such as; parametric analysis technique, independent group T test, non-parametric Mann Whitney-U test, analysis of one-dimensional variance (ANOVA), non-parametric Kruskal Wallis-H test and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis. At the end of the tests significance level was equal to 0.5.With the results of the study, important differences were found in the behavior of the club activities of the teachers who worked in the primary schools in Bagcilar, the differences were found in; age variable and sub-dimension of teachers? willingness; professional seniority variable and social contribution and the sub-dimensions of teachers' willingness; the total point difference between the seniority variety in the school and sub-dimensions of teachers? willingness; the variety of period educative club activity and sub-dimensions of teachers? willingness; variable number of trainers employed by the club and loss of functionality and sub-dimensions of student participation; marital status variable and sub-dimensions of teachers? willingness; school facilities and sub-dimensions of student participation. On the other hand, there were no significant differences in empathetic tendency of gender. And lastly, the difference between the behavior of the club activities and the empathetic leniency was examined and as a result there was no relationship found.Key Words : Empatic Leniency, Behavior, Club.
