Abstract (EN)

The basic aim of this research is to determine of ideas about measurement andevaluation in primary schools (6., 7., 8. classrooms).The survey method is used in this research. The research is made in Diyarbakir andElazig. The questionnaires were applied 243 primary schools teachers and 335 students in the113 primary schools. Questionnaires comprised with 32 questions for teachers and 22questions for students. Data were analysed using SPSS 10.0.Some findings were following:1. As a result of research open ended questions were prefered by the teachers as ameasurement tool in the state and private primary schools.2. Student achievement could be measured partially by measurement tools in the stateand private primary schools.3. Excitement ant anxiety were found to be most important negative factor onexamination success of the students in the state and private primary schools.4. The most complaining matter of the students about questions during exams waslong and detailed question in the state and private primary schools in Diyarbakir and Elazig.Key Words: Primary schools, measurement, evaluation.
