The effectiveness level of primary school administrators on school devvelopment

Development is a multi ?dimensional and complicated process. On the other hand, school development is defined as ? a systematic effort to change learning conditions and related inherent conditions in order to achieve educational goals more effectively in one or more schools?. Developing a school requires changing it.In Turkish education system, the importance of developing a school has been increasing. The Ministry of Education asks schools establish ?a team of managing school development? based on the 99th item of ?committees, occupational work and commission part?in the Primary Schools Regulations saying that ? the team of managing school development works in a primary school in order to enhance the quality of education and student success, to develop the physical and human resources of a school, to make a student-centered education, to enable the planned and permanent development in education?. The answer of the question ?What is the role of school administrators in the school development?? has a significant role for the schools where our education system is applied and our futures are shaped. Hence, the subject matter is studied with the idea that it should be evaluated with a scientific point of view and scales. The present study is a relational scanning model which is prepared to test whether sample grup varies according to the some independent elements , considering the effect of school administrators on school development. Since, in this study, it is aimed to display the effect of school administrators on school development, the method of field research is used by conducting a survey. It is expected that the findings of this study may contribute to the next researchers and, at least, to our education community.EŞREF GÜRSÜLİSTANBUL 2010
