The sample of activites of primary social sciences teachers on curricular local history, Uşak province

This study has been carried out to determine whether local history topics, placed in Social Science lessons regulated by Ministry of Education, is tought by Primary Social Sciences teachers or not.In the first phone of this study, the definition and purpose of Social Sciences have been dealt with briefly. Thereafter the study focuses on local history, its development, facilities, restrictions and the local history mentioned in Social Sciences. Half- structured interview forms has been prepared for the purpose of determining the view of the course of the Social Science teachers with respect to the teaching and performing local history matters and these have been applied to Primary Social Science teachers.In the scope of this study, half structured interview has benn carried out on 123 Social Sciences teachers working in center and districts of Uşak, 15 Social Sciences teachers. The answers obtained from the interview were catagorized by coding and evaluated by analizing.This thesis has been supported by BAP comission of Uşak Universty with the number of 2012/TP008.Key Words: Local History, Social Sciences Lesson, Primary Social Sciences Teachers, Education.
