Comparison of verses on faith and the hereafter in classical commentaries -The example of al-Māturīdī- al-Zamakhshari- al-Rāzī-

Tafsir is an activity that is considered to be the head of the sciences aiming to understand and interpret our Holy Book, the Qur'an. From the first revelation to the present day, this activity has continued with various methods. In this study, Imām Matūrīdī's tafsīr titled Tafsīr al-Ta'wīlāt al-Qur'ān, which he had his students read during his lectures, Zamakhsharī's tafsīr titled al-Kashshāf, one of the important representatives of the Mutazilite thought, and Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī's tafsīr titled Mafātīhu al-ghayb, The verses related to faith and the Hereafter were analyzed comparatively and it was tried to determine how the related verses were understood by the commentators from their own scholarly and intellectual discussions. In addition, how the commentators reflected their theological views on the verses, how they brought explanations to the verses, what their views and understandings were, and on which issues there was alliance or disagreement were analyzed.
