Abstract (EN)

Within the thesis study, chemistry, which is a fundamental science; experimental chemistry, analytical chemistry, and chemistry education are studied under three main headings. Within the framework of experimental chemistry research, 16 imidazole molecules were synthesized, and the fluorescence and absorbance activity of these molecules was investigated. Structure of illumination of the synthesized compounds was conducted using 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The electronic structure of the compounds was analyzed using B3LYP functions using the Density Functional Theory (DFT) method, 6-31 G (d, p) in the Gaussian package system and theoretically modeled. Experimental and theoretical results have been transferred to Cospace.edu, a virtual reality network, and a virtual learning environment has been developed. 98 codes have been entered in Cospace.edu for this created virtual learning universe. 17 instructional scenarios have been designed in the virtual reality environment and topics and concepts that are difficult to teach in chemistry education: teaching absorbance, fluorescence, molecular geometry, essential rings in organic chemistry, light and matter interactions with virtual reality. In addition, participants' attitudes towards virtual reality, their knowledge of alternative methods of education in chemistry, and information on computational chemistry were assessed through online questionnaires. The cognitive loads of students were determined during the learning process, which took place in multiple settings.
