Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of different heavy metals applications to sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) seeds in in vitro conditions on germination and plant growth were investigated. MS (Murashige and Skoog 1962) nutrient medium and heavy metals (Cadmium, Cobalt, Nickel, Aluminum, Copper, Chromium, Lead,) at different doses (100 µM, 200 µM, 300 µM, 400 µM, 500 µM) were used in the experiments. As a result of the measurements, it was determined that the germination rates were the highest in 200 µM of cadmium, 300 µM of nickel, 200 µM of aluminum, 200 µM of copper, 100 µM of chromium, 300 of µM lead and control application of cobalt. The highest number of leaves was obtained from the doses of 100 µM cobalt, 100 µM nickel, 100 µM aluminum, 200 µM copper, 400 µM lead, and the control application for cadmium and chromium. The highest leaf length was determined at doses of 100 µM cobalt, 100 µM nickel, 100 µM chromium, 200 µM lead and control application of cadmium, aluminum and copper. The highest values of root number and root length respectively were obtained from control group and control application cadmium, 200 and 100 µM cobalt, 100 µM and control application nickel, control application and 100 µM aluminum, 100 µM and control application copper, 300 and 200 µM lead applications.
