Abstract (EN)
Freedom of belief, which is protected in many international human rights texts, especially in the European Convention on Human Rights, includes the right to not believe in its negative dimension. Therefore, besides those who believe in a religion, non-believers are also the subjects of this right. In the first part of the study, freedom of belief for non-believers was explained. The right to not believe, freedom to change religion, freedom to manifest and teach, which are within the scope of freedom of belief, have been examined in the context of non-believers. In the second part, the effects of religion-oriented freedom of belief on non-believers in Turkey were examined. This part of the study was carried out in the focus of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, compulsory religious lessons and education policies, the loud calls to prayer, the religion section in state and social pressure against non-believers.
