Abstract (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of different rehabilitation techniques in neurological rehabilitation and to determine potential differences between these techniques. In this context, important parameters such as hand grip level, modified Rankin level, Bartel index and posture maintenance level were examined. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on a total of 66 patients. Twenty-two of the patients were in the Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT)-Bobath group, 22 in the Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Faciliitation (PNF) group and 22 in the control group. PNF and Bobath techniques were applied to all 3 groups for 45 minutes, 5 days a week, for a total of 20 sessions of 3 sets of 10-15 repetitions. Home exercise program was applied to all 3 groups. Control. Patients in the PNF and Bobath groups were regularly performed home exercises for 20 sessions of 45 minutes, 3 sets of 15- 20 repetitions for 1 month. Before and after the treatment, hand grip strength of all patients was examined with a dynamometer, daily life activities with the Bathel Index, functional assessment with the modified Rankin Scale balance and postural control with the Postural Assessment Scale. In the evaluation of all analyzes, p<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: In our study, there was a significant difference between the groups in terms of right hand grip level (p=0.011) and it was determined that NDT Bobath group showed more change than other groups. In terms of left hand grip level, there was a significant difference between the groups (p=0.004) and it was determined that NDT Bobath group showed more change than other groups. A significant difference was also determined between the groups in terms of modified Rankin level (p=0.001), but the difference between the amount of change in the groups was not significant (p=0.652). There were also significant differences between the groups in terms of Bartel index (p-0.002) and posture maintenance (p-0.008) and it was observed that NGT Bobath group showed more change than other groups. Conclusion and Discussion: According to the results of our study, it can be said that the NDT Bobath treatment method is more effective than other methods and can be preferred in neurological rehabilitation. In stroke patients, the NDT Bobath treatment method, it was found to be more effective than other treatment methods used in the study. These results emphasize that the NDT Bobath method is a more effective treatment method in stroke rehabilitation treatment selection. Key Words: Stroke, NDT Bobath, PNF. hand grip level, Modified Rankin Scale, Bartel index, Posture maintenance level.
