Effects of human serum albumin concentrations on the results of intracytoplasmic sperm injection

Infertility is defined as a couple can not obtain pregnancy although unprotected sexual intercourse for 1 year. These couples can be directed assisted reproduction techniques (ART) for treated. Oocytes are cultured in suitable culture medium and ambient of incubator after intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) which is one of the ART. The aim is to support development of good quality embryos through highest implantation potential in vitro environment and transfer to candidate mother?s uterus. Using culture environments called ``mediums?? in the process. Primer protein source is added at rates ranging from 5-20% into the medium.In this study, we investigated the effect of Human Serum Albumin (HSA) concentrations (5-10%) on the fertilization rates, embryo development rates and embryo quality after ICSI. For this purpose, picked-up metaphase II oocytes from 50 cases in grup 1 cultured in medium included %5 HSA after ICSI to embryo transfer day. Picked-up metaphase II oocytes from 50 cases in grup 2 cultured in medium included %10 HSA after ICSI to embryo transfer day. Ages, times of infertility, picked-up oocytes numbers, M II oocytes numbers of study grups were found similarly. Fertilization and cleavages rates were not statistically different. Each groups were classified in 4 subgroup (Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4) according to embryo quality in transfer day. In these study groups were found no statistically different according to embryo quality. The study groups were classified 4 subgroups (Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4) embryo quality in 2. or 3. day according to transfer day again. Grade 3 embryos development was found more in 3. day embryo transfer of study group 2.According to the given data, we believe that the followed way must have higher number of cases, further more embryo transfer and pregnancy results must evaluated in the next researches.
