Abstract (EN)
Journalism, which has the function of directing the society, is a profession that needs to be carefully examined and evaluated within its scope as a strong and well-established profession. With the development of information and communication technology, the change and transformation in many fields affected the professional practices of journalism and brought about a transformation in this field. Along with the new media, the journalism profession has been moved to the internet. Unlike traditional journalism, the line between advertising and news has not been sharply separated in Internet journalism. This has led to a significant change in advertising and journalism practices in internet journalism. In terms of internet reporting, more clicks of the news site have become more important in terms of getting more advertisements. Thus, internet news producers have started using unethical journalism methods to enable readers to spend more time and click more on the news site. In this study, clickbait content news practices of internet newspapers, which stand out with the use of misleading news headlines, are examined. At this point, most visitors who are on the internet Hürriyet.com.tr in Turkey is examined using sözcü.com.tr, takvim.com and yeniakit.com news site title misleading use of content analysis. At the end of the research, it was observed that all the news sites examined within the scope of the research presented news in certain issues with clickbait content.
