Abstract (EN)

Ankylosing spondylitis is a type of arthritis that affects the axial skeleton, particularly the sacroiliac joints. Vitamin D is considered a secosteroid hormone that plays a role in calcium and phosphate balance, bone formation and resorption. SNP of ERAP2 gene (rs2910686), it is considered a functionally important gene associated with susceptibility to ankylosing spondylitis. In addition, genetic variation of the HLA-B27 molecule and antigen processing components such as ERAP1 and ERAP2 have a role in initiation and maintenance. It has long been known that vitamin D has an immunosuppressive effect on the body and its role in autoimmune diseases. In this thesis study, it was aimed to evaluate the relationship between the presence of the HLA-B27 gene, which is effective on the disease and the control of vitamin D3 levels in ankylosing spondylitis patients in IRAQ. In addition, the role of vitamin D in the interaction between immune and inflammation factors in ankylosing spondylitis was analyzed and it was aimed to evaluate the relationship between D3 level and control in HLA-27B positive ankylosing spondylitis patients.
