Irak'ın necef şehrinde anaokulu öğretmenlerinin ilk yardıma yönelik bilgi ve tutumlarının değerlendirilmesi

Objective: This study aimed at Exploring the knowledge and attitudes of kindergarten teachers towards first aid in the city of Najaf, Iraq. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted between 01.11.2022 and 25.02.2023 in 6 kindergarten schools, in Al-Najaf city in Iraq. The study population consists of female teachers in these schools. The study sample consisted of 114 female teachers who agreed to participate in the study at the time of data collection. "Social and demographic data model" and "Kindergarten teachers' knowledge of first aid" were used to collect data. Results: The largest number of the study group was 41-50 years old, all females, 55.3% were in Urban, 87.7% were married and 50.0% had children 3-4 years old, 65.8% had monthly income <700, 36% were Teachers Bachelo graduates. 65.8% have Poor knowledge on the "Kindergarten teachers' knowledge of first aid" scale. It was determined that the age variable from the Kindergarten teachers' knowledge of first aid scale had a significant effect and was higher in the age group >50, residents of Urban, Received information about first aid and the differences were statistically significant (p≤0.05). The general attitude towards first aid was determined for teachers, 76.3% have negative attitudes towards learning first aid, 71.9% have negative attitudes towards giving first aid, 67.5% have negative attitudes towards medical condition, work experience variable was identified. As a parameter, it has a significant effect with attitudes towards first aid, and it was higher for those who had experience between 1-10 years and for those who received information about first aid, and the differences were statistically significant (p≤0.05). A positive relationship was identified between knowledge and attitudes towards first aid for kindergarten teachers Conclusion: The results of the study showed that the knowledge about first aid for teachers in kindergarten schools in general is weak, and the majority of teachers have negative attitudes towards first aid.
