Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to determine whether organizational commitment has a mediating role in the effect of job satisfaction level of nurses and midwives on emotional labor behavior. The population of the research consists of 910 employees consisting of 636 nurses and 274 midwives who actively provide health care services in Eskişehir State Hospital in 2017. Sampling is determined by use of stratified sampling method. The study were reached through 300 surveys in total by obtaining 210 surveys from nurses and 90 surveys from midwifes. The data obtained has been made meaningful through use of SPSS and LISRELL; by benefiting from One Sample Kolmogorov Smirnov Test (K-S Test), Pearson correlation analysis, simple linear regression analysis, multiregression analysis and instrumental variable regression analysis. As a result of the research; it is concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional labor and organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Likewise, it is also determined that there is a positive and meaningful relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Further, presence of positive and meaningful relationship between surface, deep and natural feelings and job satisfaction is revealed when it is looked from the sub-dimensions of emotional labour as dependent variable. The findings obtained are such as to support the hypotheses (H1, H2, H3, H4) of the study. Keywords: Emotional Labor, Organizational Commitment, Job Satisfaction
