Abstract (EN)
The healthful maintenance of business life's function depends primarily on enabling occupational health and safety. Thanks to the measures taken within the framework of occupational health and safety, health and safety of employees are being taken under protection and probable losses of firms are being prevented. However, it is seen that physical measures are not adequate in protecting employee's health and safety. Researches have shown that psycho-social factors commonly seen in business life such as mobbing should be considered as much as physical factors within the context of occupational health and safety. Mobbing behaviours can be seen vertically or horizontally in each level of firms. In mobbing period the mobber acts in a hostile manner, the hostile behaviours are repeated systematically and the victim is damaged because of these behaviours. The phsicological or economical damages are not limited with victims, surroundings of victims, other employees and even mobbers are negatively affected by mobbing period. The firms are also being affected by mobbing such as all elements of business life. The research which aims to measure the effects of mobbing on business performance has shown that scolding, criticism, and oppression effect the performance of solution and success negatively. This situation has indicated that scolding, criticism, and oppression in workplace decrease the business performance. It is proven that limitation of communication and being disturbed effect appreciation ve dignification negatively. Giving meaningless and constrained works also negatively effects appreciation ve dignification and this situation has shown that giving meaningless and constrained works decreases the business performance. On the other hand, it is found that physical violence, ridicule and abuse effect the business performance positively. The result which is contrary to the general expectation, is remarkable because of that it shows the employees are under pressure.
