The education system in Palestine from the beginning of the occupation to the present day

Over the course of its scientific struggle, the Palestinian people have gone through difficult circumstances and are still exposed to extraordinary circumstances, where education has been affected through different periods of time in terms of overall objectives, curricula and supervision. Therefore, when studying the educational system of the Palestinian people, we cannot move away from the situations and wars that have gone through history. Where education has always been the first tool and weapon to confront everything that hinders its human journey. Therefore, this historical study finds out that, the riding forces behind the changes occurred in Palestine education system appeared to the ‎mandate of Britain in 1917; the establishment of illegal Israeli state in Palestine; the Egyptian and ‎Jordanian sovereignty 1967‎; Israel -Arab wars. as the influence of Israel, 1,289 schools were closed, and 297 were completely destroyed by bombing. Also, the curriculum of ‎Palestinian education remained under the control of the assailants. Regarding the way Palestinian ‎education changed since 1993, build its own structure, recruit staff, develop its management ‎systems and its capacity ‎for planning and management, design development programs and ‎fundraise for their ‎implementation, develop the first ever unified Palestinian curriculum for the ‎West Bank ‎and Gaza. furthermore, ‎diagnosis of current reality of education and considering education as a basic human right as well ‎as living tool for ‎social and economic development and importance of instilling the roots of moral value.
