Abstract (EN)
3 of; the research': Mathematics Throgh Programmed Teaching ods !?or Hearing Impaired Children. T&e objektive of this study is to determine whether it is sible to teach the hearing handicapped students mathematics oughf programmed teaching methods. On the hasis of this general ektajve the students of "Sağırlar Okulu" and "İÇEM" having different cation media were studied to find out to what extent they profit >m mathematics through this programmed teaching method. 17 students from "Sağırlar Okulu" and 8 from "ÎÇEM" totaly 25 udenffcs have been included in the study. (The development of programmed material has been carried out i three steps as those of "preparation", "writing" ant "tests" in le preparation step the plot to be programmed was chosen^ and the ale-want objektives, initial and final tests prepared and the subject atter analysed» After the studies of preparation phase the program- ted material was started. To be written, in accordance with the linear >rogramming model. After being' preapared as a rough draft those from bhe student group were tested. In this test due to the data obtanied frorâf students the rough draft completed and multiplied. In the study while prepaning the programmed material the 198Ş-1989 text book of mathematics of 2 grade of secandary schools has been used as a source. The programmed material propaoed consists of f99 articles. Before giving the relevant programmed material the group was gi^-en the final test as the initial one. After the implementation of the first test the final group was handed in card board eharts, after the necessary instructions, the students started to work with the material. After the issue being studied in details the final t group was given the test.Dafte analysis is as follows, İ, On taking the students of Sağırlar Okulu and ÎÇEM as a ingle (group, the comparison of the dif fence between the aritmatio leans pf the initial and final tests of the group. Î.Conparing the significance of the differance between the aritmeftic means of the initial tests taken "by the two groups of Sağırlar Okulu and ÎÇEM i 3. Comparing the sigrificance of the difference between the aritmi tic means of the final teste taken by the two groups of Sa- ğırlajc Okulu and ÎÇEM CONOIİUSION l.The hearing handicapped students of ÎÇEM and Sağırlar Okulu can lf>e taught mathematio through programmed teaching method. 2. The students of İÇEM and Sağırlar Okulu were abserved to have benefitted equally maths lessons through programmed teaching method.*
