Financial performance evaluation with financial analysis in businesses: The case of a production enterprise

In this thesis, the financial statements of Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.Ş. for the years 2020-2024 are evaluated using financial analysis methods. The aim is to provide comprehensive information about the financial position and performance of the company and to reach healthy conclusions in this direction. In addition to vertical and horizontal analyses, ratio analyses were also applied in the study; evaluations were made on key indicators such as liquidity, operating efficiency, profitability and indebtedness. In the light of the data obtained, it has been observed that Ford Otosan exhibited steady growth throughout the analysis period, its liquidity structure was generally strong and it followed a successful strategy in debt management. However, it was also found that there were periodic fluctuations in some indicators and decreases in operating efficiency, especially in some years. With the general evaluation made at the end of the study, the strengths and weaknesses of the company's financial performance were determined and recommendations were made for future periods. This thesis aims to contribute to the financial analysis processes of enterprises and to be a guiding source for researchers who want to conduct similar studies.
