Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT Accounting Information System is a component within a organization that processes financial transactions to provide scorekeeping, attention directing and decision making information to information users. Strategic planning is deciding about the future of business by considering the opportunities and threats in the environment, and the strengths aand weaknesses within the firm- Accounting Information Systems and strategic planning have separate domains but a lot of common ground. Advances in computer technology and software tools have contributed toward Accounting Information Systems use in strategic planning. Strategic planning is an ongoing process and includes dealing with decision problems which occur suddenly and must be solved quickly. To aid top management in coping with this set of unstructured decision problems, a software technology, called Decision Support Systems is used in many organizations. These systems incorporate both data and models and designed to assist managers in their semistructured and unstructured tasks. When a Decision Support System deals with strategic planning it is also called Corporate Planning Model. AIS provide data for building and executing the corporate planning models. These corporate planning models are used to search for acceptable strategies and translating the strategies into the budgets. AIS is used for evaluating performance and feedback information to the strategic planning process.
