The effect of technological innovation capabilities on companies' innovation and marketing performance: A field study on technopark companies in Turkey

Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of technological innovation capabilities of companies, which demonstrate R&D and innovation activities in various sectors in Technology Development Regions (Technopark), on their product and marketing performances. In this regard, it was aimed at studying the relationship between the technological innovation capabilities, which are evaluated under 5 dimensions namely R&D capability of companies, learning capability, strategic planning capability, innovation capability and marketing capability, and the product performance and marketing performance. A conceptual research model containing 9 hypotheses has been created within the framework of current literature towards this objective. The hypothesis established were tested with the structural equation model using the data obtained by applying online questionnaire to employees and managers of companies performing R&D activities in various sectors in technoparks in Turkey by means of the questionnaire form comprising measurement tools obtained from the literature. According to the findings obtained as a result of statistical analysis performed within the scope of the study, it was determined that R&D capability has significant and positive direct effect on product performance and indirect effect on marketing performance via product performance; learning capability on marketing performance; marketing capability on marketing performance and finally product performance on marketing performance. Recommendations were suggested for researchers, practitioners and future studies at the end of the study.
