Active employment policies of the Turkish Employment institution in fighting unemployment: the case of Bitlis

The problem of unemployment has become a difficult situation for the countries of today's world. In fact, unemployment is growing day by day, and considering the fact that the world population is constantly increasing, finding a solution to unemployment becomes difficult in direct proportion. The events related to unemployment in Turkey in recent years have shown us that; Unemployment has been a phenomenon that has not only economic consequences, but also has consequences in terms of social destruction. In this study, I show how effective the active employment policies of İŞKUR in our country in general and in Bitlis in particular are effective in solving the unemployment problem. In the aforementioned research, it has been used in its most up-to-date form, based on the monthly and annual data published by TUIK and İŞKUR, as well as from different sources. In the first part of the study, the causes and consequences of the concepts of employment and unemployment have been tried to be explained in detail. In the second part, the general view of unemployment in Turkey as well as the developments in employment and active employment policies of İŞKUR are discussed, taking into account the data of TÜİK and İŞKUR. In the third and last part, the active employment policies of the Turkish Employment Agency in the fight against unemployment in the province of Bitlis are examined.
