Abstract (EN)

This research has been done in order to examine the relationship between the levels of participation in management and their perception of the organizational culture of the Industrial Vocational High School?s technical teachers. For that reason, the prepared questionnaire was completed by 572 vocational group teachers who work at Industrial Vocational High Schools in the European side of İstanbul.The data obtained from the questionnaire was analysed on computer via the SPSS18.0 statistic programme. The statistics of frequency modulation and diagnosing the percentage was utilized to determine the demographic features of teachers; average and standard deflection statistics were utilized to determine the participation in management and organizational culture. While determining the relationship between the teachers? levels of participation in management and organizational culture that is perceived, t test, one way Anova test and Tukey tests were used to examine the change according to the features of teachers participation in management and their perception of the organizational culture.As a result of the research, it?s approached that the level of vocational group teachers? participation in management is more than their perception and teachers have the perception that is the most supportive culture and the least success culture about their school. Moreover, it?s concluded that there is a positively meaningful relationship between the teachers? perception of participation in management level and perception of organisational culture; between the levels of participation in management and organisational culture perception there is only a meaningful relationship at management sub culture in terms of statistics. The more the teachers perceive the organisational culture, the more they participate in management. If the level of management of the sub culture perception in organisational culture gets higher, their expected level of participation in management increases.Key words: Participation in management, organisational culture, school culture, Vocational and Technical Education, Industrial Vocational High School, Vocational Group Teacher, Science, Technology
