Investigation of solar energy meeting of electricity needs of a business in İstanbul province

In this study, an industrial enterprise located in Istanbul district of Metropolitan district, energy needs are met with photovoltaic solar panels. With the increase of technological developments and the human population, the need for energy increases globally with the increase in production for consumption needs. In industrial enterprises, electricity costs constitute one of the largest expense items. This situation causes different alternative searches to meet the energy by asking for the need for energy and the reduction of production costs. Therefore, alternative energy sources are of great importance in meeting energy needs. In our study, the conversion of solar energy, which is a renewable energy source, into electricity energy with photovoltaic systems, and meeting the electrical energy needs of an industrial enterprise were investigated. In work, The mono-system established for the reduction of energy costs of the enterprise by the active use of the electricity energy consumed in the enterprise's main roof area in the electricity generation of the enterprise in the industrial site in the district of Istanbul province depreciation times were calculated in case of crystal or poly-crystalline panel use. The total power of the photovoltaic solar power system to be installed on the roof of the selected enterprise, the total power of the inverters and the electricity generation capacity to be obtained were calculated. The total panel power to be used when 465 W panels were used in the industrial enterprise located in the Istanbul district of Metropolitan Municipality was 180,885 kWp and the electrical energy that could be obtained from the system within the year was 242.482,60 kWh. The system's self-amortization period is 3,46 years.
