The effect of the employee ergonomics on the work performance of employees and an application in Kütahya

To be able to fulfill the duties of the employees in business life in the desired way; It depends on the motivation to work in a comfortable environment and work efficiency. Physical order of working environments; due to its impact on employee health, psychology and work efficiency. However, the office tools and office design used have important effects on the performance and efficiency of the employees. The science of ergonomics provides the factors necessary for the employee to work in a more comfortable environment. Ergonomics is to find the best way to utilize its capabilities by taking into account the natural boundaries of the employee. Ergonomics is a personal work unit. It provides the necessary conditions for the adaptation of the work to the human and the human. The main purpose of ergonomics is to determine the working conditions that are necessary for the adaptation of the human to the work by examining these factors. Thus, both morale and productivity of the employee increases. The choice of color in the working environment, the seating arrangement, the tools and equipment used, furniture, ventilation system, heat, humidity, lighting, including issues such as the overall work areas, employees' satisfaction and work performance is significantly affect. In this study, the effects of public employees in the workplace of Kütahya were investigated. 120 public employees were surveyed and the results of the survey were evaluated in SPSS program. In general, employees are satisfied with the heat, lighting, settlement, transportation, work flow, psychological suitability and communication flow of the working environment. The only unhappy element is that physical design is not suitable. At the end of the research, opinions and suggestions were made with the assumption that it will guide the future studies for the public institutions in our country.
