Abstract (EN)
Workplace happiness is an important issue that exists at every stage of an individual's business life. As the most important capital of today's modern organizations is human, the point of view of employees has changed and the value given to human resources has increased. Every activity perceived positively by the employee in the organization has a direct impact on the success of the organization. Being happy in the working environment of the employee can be seen as an element that increases job satisfaction. However, the levels of support necessary for the employee to be happy are also very important. When the workplace happiness literature is examined, it is seen that the studies on public institutions are few and inadequate. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the mediating role of perceived organizational support in the relationship between workplace happiness and job satisfaction of public personnel working in public institutions. In the study, firstly, the concepts of workplace happiness, job satisfaction and perceived organizational support were mentioned, and then the relationships between these concepts were examined at the organizational level. After obtaining the necessary permissions to conduct research within the scope of ethical rules, 325 questionnaires were distributed to public employees in public institutions in Adana province using the convenience sampling method, and 291 surveys were returned. Since there was no missing answer in any of the returned questionnaires, the study was continued with these questionnaires. Within the scope of the analysis of the obtained data set, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis for examining the relationships between variables, regression analysis to find the effect between variables, mediation test, comparison analysis between variables and structural equation modeling analysis for path analysis were used. When the direct impact model is examined, the independent variable, workplace happiness, positively affects the dependent variable, job satisfaction (p <0.05). According to these results, the basic criterion for the intermediation requirement is provided. As a result, it has been revealed that perceived organizational support in the effect of workplace happiness on job satisfaction statistically partially mediates (p> 0.05).
