Abstract (EN)
In this study, was aimed to determine some yield and quality characteristics at three different planting times (30 September, 14 October, 31 October) of three saffron populations grown in İzmir conditions (Tokat, Safranbolu and Iran). The experiment was performed in the 2016 saffron growing period at the experimental field of Ege University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field and two factors according to the split plot arrangement of treatments in a Randomized Complete Block with three reclications. In this context, flower length, length of age stigma, single age flower weight, flower weight (g / parcel), single age stigma weight, age stigma weight (g / parcel), single dry flower weight, dry flower weight (g / parcel), single dry stigma weight, dry stigma weight (g / parcel), number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, age leaf weight, dry leaf weight and changes in the rates of Crocin, Picrocrocin and Safranal as quality characteristics were measured. It was determined that the second planting time was appropriate for the Tokat population and the third planting time for the Safranbolu and Iranian population was more appropriate for the age stigma weight, one of the yield parameters. It was proved that the dry stigma weight (g) values at the 3rd planting time are high. When the quality parameters were examined, the Picrocrocin and Safranal ratios for the Tokat population reached the highest value at the first planting time. Safranbolu and the Iranian population were determined to be more appropriate for the third planting time.. It has been determined that the third planting time is more appropriate in terms of quality characteristics in the Iranian population.
