Abstract (EN)
Fecr-i Ati is a literary movement which appeared in order to fill the gap of the Edebiyat-ı Cedide group after Servet-i Fünun magazine had been closed. This literary movement is very essential in Turkish Literature with its principle "Art is personal and respected." İzzet Melih is better-known by his novelist identity. İzzet Melih who usually handles individual subjects writes about love turning around man woman conflict. However, the novel Sermed which will be analyzed in this thesis is based on a simple love theme.
