Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of this study, the cognitive and psychomotor objectives and target behaviors of J. Werner's Praktische Violoncello Schule method have been identified. The analyses conducted within the framework of the study were presented by grouping them according to the approach developed by Uçan (1997), which is based on the "Method Analysis Approach in Line with the Contemporary Curriculum Model for Musical Instrument Methods. "The aim of the study is to determine the cognitive and psychomotor objectives and target behaviors expected to be achieved in J. Werner's Praktische Violoncello Schule method. In line with this aim, the objectives and target behaviors in the Praktische Violoncello Schule method have been classified as "cognitive" and "psychomotor" according to Bloom's Taxonomy. The study employs a descriptive method, with its sample comprising 43 études with piano accompaniment included in the Praktische Violoncello Schule method. Within the 43 études examined as part of the study, 45 objectives and 104 target behaviors were identified as cognitive, while 129 objectives and 347 target behaviors were identified as psychomotor.Based on the findings obtained from the analyzed études, it was determined that the objectives are situated at the "knowledge" level in the cognitive domain, and at the "arousal, guided response, and mechanism" levels in the psychomotor domain. According to the results derived from the study's findings, it can be said that the method aims to instill numerous objectives and target behaviors in both cognitive and psychomotor domains, though it includes more outcomes in the psychomotor domain.
