Abstract (EN)

Children form the building blocks of the society they live in, and in order for the society to survive, it is necessary for the children of that society to be raised in a healthy way. Otherwise, societies that ignore the rights of the child will be doomed to disappear. Throughout human history, in many societies, while children have been protected and cared for, they have also been the focus of neglect and abuse and their rights have been ignored. Nowadays, the necessity of taking care of children, meeting their needs and protecting them in the healthiest way is more important than before. The child needs adults, the child needs care, the child needs love, the child needs affection... the child wants many things from adults. Children, who by nature cannot meet their own needs until a certain period of time, are born bearing responsibility for the adults in the environment in which they are born. This situation brings with it the concept of children's rights. This study will include examining the path followed from past to present by analyzing documents regarding this process regarding children's rights. Henryk Goldszmit, known as Janusz Korczak, is known as the father of children's rights, who argued that children should have rights different from those of adults in the twentieth century and that a step should be taken in this regard. In order to make the perspective of Korczak, who is a Polish Jewish pediatrician, pedagogue and also a children's book author, known today, his work titled How to Love a Child will also be examined in this study.
