Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, yeast strains (Cutaneotrichosporon jirovecii jpn01 and Debaryomyces nepalensis jpn02) isolated from the intestines of goldfish were screened for in vitro probiotic properties. Firstly, the hydrophobicity, bile salts and tolerance to low pH conditions of yeast strains were determined. Then, antimicrobial effects and adhesion (binding) abilities to Lactococcus garvieae of yeast strains were investigated. As a result of the study, it was determined that both yeast strains were able to survive at low pH (2, 3) and different bile concentrations (0.6, 1% and 1.5%), hydrophobic, and showed adhesion ability to L. garvieae. However, they did not show antimicrobial activity against L. garvieae. In future studies, the use of these yeast strains in fish farming will be investigated.
