Abstract (EN)

The thinking is a subject that people have been worked on it for ages.Philosophers have been think hard about how we get best thinking styles. The aim ofthis study examining of John Dewey?s views about thinking who lived in near date toour time. In addition, one of the aim of the study is examining relationship betweencritical thinking and Dewey?s views about thinking.To getting these aims, the reseracher controlled studies which were doneabout John Dewey in Turkey and abroad. The most important study of research isexamining Dewey?s original books. The researcher got these books and looked overthe Dewey?s opinions. In addition to these studies, researchers look over the studieswhich were done about reflective thinking, critical thinking, problem solving andcreative thinking by other researchers so that can comparative these studies to JohnDewey?s. After these comparatives, researcher commented self views aboutsimilarities and differences between Dewey?s opinions and other researchers?opinions about reflective thinking, critical thinking, problem solving, creativethinking.After this analysis, the researcher had a view about Dewey?s views. Dewey?sviews about thinking is a reflective thinking process and critical thinking is anelement of it. Some other researcher, as different from Dewey, explanin the reflectivethinking a process which is an element of critical thinkingi problem solving andcreative thinking. But there is no evidence and clear categorization about what arethe skills for these thinking styles.
