Effect of women managers on firm performance: A field study on firms in Turkey

Using the firm-level data that this study plan to make an original data set for Turkey. This research aims at examining the relationship between the proportion of women in top executive jobs and on boards of directors and firm financial and innovative performance. The question: is there any poisitive correlation between the number of female manager and the performance of the firm ? This question takes the interest of researchers in last years. There are some problems about empirical studies; first, some of them support each other while some are positive and some are irrelevant. Second, at existing studies, research on large scale firm in general. There by the studies upto the present don't have representtation power on all firms in a country. In addition to this topic all studies are done in respectable West, particulary in USA. Thus, there is slightly studies which the females effecting firm performance in developing countries with Turkey. In this regard, the ratio of female worker at management which effects firm performance was researched in Turkey due to acting as a developing country.Key Word: Women Employment, FirmPerformance, Female Executives,Turkey
