The role the probation practices in the prevention of violence against women

This master's degree thesis work with the title of 'The Role the Probation Practices in the Prevention of Violence Against Women' was prepared within master's degree program in public law, Philosophy of Law and The Main Branch Of Sociology. In the first part of the study the phenomenon of violence, its causes and theories are discussed, the definition of violence against women and domestic violence, elements of the sociological reasons, The historical development of the struggle against this problem developed was discussed. In the world and in our country some of the statistical data and researchs on violence against women evaluated, age, social-economic status, education, violence against women, different elements on the effects of violence against women like the territory was explained. In the second part, sociological and legal aspects of crime and the criminal cases are defined in different, the criminal justice theories and philosophies of crime and punishment was explained. Pre-and post-modern forms of supervision and surveillance systems are considered, Through Foucault's concept of bio-power the concept of post-modernism, objectives and functions of control and supervision system was described. The second section dealt with the transformation of the concept of punishment, as a product of the third section, the search for alternative sentencing probation system were discussed. Crimes of violence against women were evaluated in terms of the status and implementation of the existing legal regulations punishment system. The study finally finished punish the understanding of the impact on the transformation of violent crimes against women, and the corresponding specification of judgment has been completed.
