Abstract (EN)

Newspaper papers, which were recycled in the study, were suspension with the help of fiberizer. Afterwards, filtration processes were carried out and wastewater was obtained. Thus, It has been observed that the large particles in suspension are removed by MW irradiation followed by centrifugation. Changes within low limits were calculated in the general physicochemical properties of the wastewater samples measured by MW radiation and subsequent centrifugation effect. The highest pH value change was 0.50 units, the electrical conductivity (EC) was 25 μS/cm (XC3:303 μS/cm and YA2: 328 μS/cm) while within samples the total solids content (TDS) was found to be only 1 ppm higher (XB3-XD6) than the control sample higher but all other TDS values were found to be between -2.0 ppm and -8.0 ppm were lower than control (XC0:157). Among all water samples, the highest ORP value was observed in the XC1 sample as 333mV. The lowest turbidity values were measured with sample of XD6: 28.7 NTU and YD6: 17.0 NTU with the longest MW irradiation time and highest MW power (360 Watts and 60 seconds), respectively (C: 161NTU). The MW irridated and followed by low-level centrifuged samples showed a color position in the color space between 262° and 282° blue (-b) to red (+a), while the samples centrifuged at higher speed showed hue angles between 11° and 145°, indicate color between yellow (+b) and green (-a). In selected samples, approximately 20.1% (XD6) and 8.9% (YD6) chemical oxygen demand (COD) reductions were observed with treatments, compared to the control.
