Impact of occupational health and safety training on occupational safety culture

In the Factories Law in England, which came out immediately after the industrial revolution of 1833; Occupational safety inspectors have been appointed by making arrangements on occupational health and safety audits. Similar regulations have become widespread in European countries and the United States. Since there was no industrialization in our country until the first years of the Republic, the issue of worker health, safety and working conditions did not come to the agenda. Finally, the Occupational Safety Law was accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly in 2012 and entered into force. The research was conducted in 2020 to evaluate occupational health and safety training given to workplace entrance security personnel working at public building entrance security points in Ankara Etimesgut district. The research universe is composed of the door security personnel of the public buildings located in Ankara Etimesgut district. 100 security personnel were reached for the research phase and a sample was created. The aim of the research is to ensure the satisfaction of the security personnel from the education they have received, to adopt the culture of education and safety in the prevention of occupational accidents, to be aware of the risks it carries in the area it is responsible for, and to consider the trainings they have received, and to minimize the loss of workforce as a result of the trainings received. Issues such as are discussed. In this context, taking into consideration the demographic variables (education level, age, gender) and other factors of the education received, it was made concrete with the survey technique.
