A sociological view of the media in the discussion of public sphere and civil society: "Example of "Tatli Sert with Müge Anli"

In this survey, it is aimed to examine the effect of television and the representation of a popular realty show program which is from the perspective of the concepts of state, civil society, public sphere and media, based on the realization of the demands of individuals to exist in the public sphere through the media. In the first part of the study, the concept of public sphere, the construction of the state and the modern state, the public sphere and historical process, the public sphere-private sphere debates and the concept of civil society as a non-state actor are discussed. In the second part, the effect of media on social transformation and mass media, and television as public sphere are discussed. Media and its effects are discussed together with critical theories. In the third part, the relationship between public sphere, media, society and "Tatlı Sert with Müge Anlı" are evaluated from the perspective of "Critical Discourse Analysis".
