Abstract (EN)

Art piece exists as a result of an equation with many unknowns. It is formed by the combination of many elements such as idea, artist, audience, technique, material. Even if the artworks produced show similarities, no two are the same. Producing art is not a linear but a dynamic system. In a dynamic system, the result cannot be certain and infallible. Chaos Theory argues that every event in the world, existing substances, organic formations and all structures such as these are not formed in a linear plane, but depending on different parameters, some are observed, but we do not have enough technology to measure the parameters of some situations. When the definitions of Chaos Theory in science, social sciences and philosophy are examined, it is seen that it is compatible with the fields of fine arts and plastic arts. Both the formation of the artist's personal expression, the contribution of the viewer to the work, and the whole work of art are similar to the definitions of chaos theory in different fields. This thesis text; aims to question the Chaos Theory, which is used in fields such as philosophy, natural sciences and social sciences, as a valid theory in many art disciplines and ceramic art. In contemporary art, what kind of factors and parameters change the result of the production in the formation of the work of art are discussed by prioritizing ceramic works
