Abstract (EN)
Although Classical Turkish Literature and Folk Literature are different from each other in terms of form, content and discourse, they are periods of literature that have commonalities in terms of subject matter. In our study, poets from both periods are selected and data collection is carried out. As a result of the data obtained by using the literature review and document analysis method, Şeyhülislâm Yahyâ was determined as the poet of Classical Turkish Literature and Karacaoğlan as the poet of Turkish Folk Literature. While determining the poets, care was taken not only to ensure that their periods were the same, but also to select contrasting characters. In this direction, it was decided to remain constant in the 17th century literature. In the study, firstly, the social and political life in the 17th century was mentioned. Again, general information was given on various subjects such as living conditions and development in art during this period. After giving information about the 17th century, details about the lives, literary identities and works of the poets are given. In the third part of the thesis, subheadings are formed with the data collected from the works of the poets; the physical and characteristic features of the lover, lover and rival types are mentioned. In this section, examples from the works of selected poets are also given. By analysing the works of the poets on the axis of types, the similarities and differences between the lover, the beloved and the rival in Classical Turkish Literature and Ashiqi Literature have been emphasised. The aim of the study is to examine how the types of the lover, the beloved and the rival are treated in the literary products of two literary periods that were effective at certain times and developed in parallel with each other, and to reveal the similarities and differences. In this way, it is to determine to what extent these two branches of literature are influenced by each other or have various differences. As a result of the data obtained, it was seen that Ashiq Literature and Classical Turkish Literature are two branches of literature that affect each other. In our thesis, it has been observed that even though the poets are opposite characters, they adopt a similar style while dealing with human love in their works, but the diversity of their expressions is different. Apart from being a wandering poet, Karacaoğlan, a poet of Ashiq Literature, is also known to have a debauched character due to the verses he wrote to the beauties in the places he visited. While the poet with these characteristics had a diversity in the type of lover, Şeyhülislâm Yahyâ, due to his loyalty to the understanding of Classical Turkish Literature and the fact that he lived his life in a certain place, was often found to focus on a single typing. As a result, it has been concluded that the poets have reflected the period they lived in and the conditions of their lives in their works.
