Woman typology in Kazakh epics

In our thesis under the title of"Woman Typology in Kazakh Epics"; the roles, places and the functions of the women taking place in Kazakh epics in terms of the era and the narrators telling style have been tried to detected. Our study, within its entrance, consist of nine parts. In the beginning section, based on anthrophologic method, a general information about the women in Kazakh epics. In the first part, woman type as mother is emphasized, by mentioning the relationships of the mother with society and particularly with her husband and children, respect and love felt to her, her rights on her children, her love to her children and her teartrops for them are all touched on. In addition to these issues, confronted in almost all epics, the relationship of the step-mother with her husband and children. And specifically her relationship with the here is mentioned. In the second part, the role of woman as a wife, love between couples, a warning and guiding woman to protect her partner against evil, the heroism of the woman, columny onto her and mourning duty have all been analyzed. In the third part, regadles of woman or man, the qualities for the person to marry, love, fight for he sake of love, women's role in the marriage styles, her right to speak, woman's and society's view to monogamy an co-wife issues have all been discussed. In the fourth section, woman as daughter and sister in epics and behaviour patterns towards them have been determined. In the fifth part, women in Kazakh epics have somehow been compared with men, the reflection of some traits such as gossip and jealousy attributed to women, the point woman standing on against man the effects of threat, swearing and violence on woman have all been inspected. Moreover; infertile, widow, free and easey and hostile women have also been mentioned. In the sixth part, old women and witches and their role in influencing the course of epic has been tried to be detected. In the seventh part, servants as a woman types, female slaves and forty-girls subjects have been studied. In the eighth part, due to our coming across offenly in Kazakh epics, portroyals and depiction to woman have been studied. In conclusion part, there is an assesment for the studies.
