Mission of protestants and religions in Kazakhstan sincethe independence

This research contains information about the religions in Kazakhstan and Protestant mission in general. In order to understand the religions clearly, first of all, general information about the history of Kazakhstan has been given. Then, the informations about the religious structure in the country, the politics towards the religion are provided, also the history and the present situations of the religions such as Islam, Christian, Judaism and Buddhism are touched. In addition, the missionary activities of the Catholic and Russian Orthodox schools are also mentioned. In the third part of the thesis, more detailed information is given about Protestant sect which is selected as the main topic. The Protestant sect has been divided into many different groups from the first days until the present and has carried out missionary activities throughout the world. In Central Asia, Protestant groups have been actively missionary in the territory of Kazakhstan, which has a great importance both in terms of location and rich in natural resources. In the thesis, Protestant missionary groups, which are considered to be important in the missionary activities in the country, are handled separately. Information about the arrival, historical process and present of these groups to the territory of Kazakhstan has been made and also details have been presented to the reader about the methods and activities carried out by the missionary groups.
