Abstract (EN)

Prophethood is expressed with the words resul and nabi in Arabic. Considering the peculiarity of the Arabic language, many lexical meanings of these concepts emerge and these meanings lead scholars to different views. This situation causes confusion about the use of both words for the word prophet in Persian, and raises the question of whether the prophet and the resul are separate persons or not. However, the fact that there is no other variant of the word prophet in Persian leads to the opinion that the words nabi and resul have the same meaning. İslamic scholars have seen the prophet and the messenger as synonymous in the meaning of these two words. Imam Abu Hanifa is the head of this group of scholars. Others have seen the concept of resul more broadly and the concept of nabi more narrowly. At the beginning of these, it is seen that Ash'ari and maturidi are the leading ones. On the contrary, there were some scholars who saw the prophet more generally and narrowly. In this research, it is understood that the conflicts on this issue are not a conflict between sects, but rather among individuals who are theologians. Considering the disagreements about the necessity of prophecy, the Mutezile sect generally considers it obligatory to Almighty Allah to send a prophet in line with the principle of salah-aslah. While Ash'ari and Salaf scholars did not consider it necessary for Almighty Allah, Maturidis believed that, based on wisdom, Allah created the best, and therefore prophecy is a virtue by Almighty Allah based on wisdom. There are disagreements about the connection of revelation with inspiration, in line with the definition of some mystic, theologian and commentator scholars. These descriptions later led to some people who were not prophets and that these people were prophets or that they recognized and introduced themselves as messengers.
