Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, an experiment was conducted to determine the effect of increasing levels of urban sewage sludge and treated wastewater on the growth, mineral nutrition and heavy metal concentration of velvet (Tagetes erecta L.), an ornamental plant. In the experiment, sewage sludge was applied at the doses of AÇ0: 0, AÇ1: 4, AÇ2: 8, AÇ3: 12, AÇ4: 16, AÇ5: 20 and AÇ6: 24 g kg-1 and treated wastewater was applied to one group. At the end of the experiment, fresh and dry weights of the plants and N, P, Fe, Cu, Cu, Zn, Mn, Cd, Co, Cr, Ni and Pb concentrations were determined. According to the results of the research, it was determined that treatment sewage sludge and treated wastewater treatment significantly affected the fresh and dry weights of velvet plants and the concentrations of N, Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn, Pb and Ni except P, Cd, Co and Cr. Treatment of sewage sludge and treated wastewater significantly increased the fresh and dry weight of plants. The N concentrations of plants were found to be higher in the doses of AÇ1, AÇ2 and AÇ3 than the control and all other treatments. Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn and Ni concentrations of the plants were significantly increased in AÇ6 (24 g AÇ kg-1) dose and treated wastewater treatment compared to control and other treatments. When the findings obtained were evaluated, it was concluded that the Fe, Cu, Mn, and Ni concentrations of the plants increased significantly. Therefore, the use of municipal sewage sludge and treated wastewater in velvet plant cultivation should be avoided repeatedly and analyzed prior to application.
