Abstract (EN)

In this study, 4-ethoxycarbonyl-5-phenyl-2,3-furandione and 4-benzoyl-5-phenyl-2,3-furandione compounds were obtained by the reaction of ethylbenzoylacetate and dibenzoylmethane with oxalyl chloride. When these previously synthesized compounds were reacted in benzene with 1,2-diaminobenzene and 1,2-diaminopyridine at room temperature for about 1 hour, only the corresponding quinoxaline derivative was obtained, while different optimum conditions were investigated in this study. It was determined that it formed in different compounds besides quinoxaline derivatives. In the previous studies, the ethoxycarbonyl and benzoyl groups of 2,3-furandion compounds were protected, while these reactions were observed to break off in the reactions carried out in benzene xylene and acetic acid in heat. The reaction mechanisms of the quinoxaline derivatives and by-products obtained were clarified. The structures of these compounds were determined by 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR, IR and Mass Spectroscopy methods.
