Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of five-factor personality traits on task performance. For this purpose, a survey was applied to the employees of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Dursun Odabaşı Research Hospital. With the necessary permission from the hospital management, 296 questionnaires were applied to the hospital employees with a total of 1574 employees, and 9 surveys were not evaluated because they were deemed inappropriate. The questionnaires were applied face to face and in this context, 287 survey analyzes were conducted. In the questionnaire applied, five factor personality analysis consisting of 44 questions and a task performance test consisting of 9 questions were performed. The data obtained through the questionnaire method applied to the hospital staff were analyzed. In order to obtain statistical data, SPSS Statistics 22.0 and AMOS 21 package programs were used in the study. Descriptive Factor Analysis, Frequency Analysis, Cronbach Alpa Analysis, Correlation and Multiple Regression Analysis were performed with the SPSS program, while the Confirmatory Factor Analysis was performed with the Amos program. As a result, levels of responsibility and openness to experience significantly increase employee performance, while the level of neuroticity significantly reduces employee performance.
