The status of conventional approaches of painting in the contemporary art praxis

As a result of radical changes that occured in science, art, philosophy and social space; it has become impossible to approach art separately from philosophy. İn the scope of this research, the feed-back loop between art and philosophy has been reviewed in order to determine the status of the artistic approaches that still prioritise the form, the line, the patch, the color and the painting's plastic potentials in the contemporay art praxis. The contradiction between being cerebral and being related to sensation in art; different approaches to aesthetics which occured as a result of Duchamp-conceptualism axis which created deep impacts on the contemporay art's paradigm shift and postmodern condition, which is pointed out by many as the definitive notion of our age have been chosen as the primary topics of this work. İn this regard, this research focuses on the changes in art and philosophy that occured especially in the 20. Century and afterwards.
