Abstract (EN)

There is no doubt that the religion of Islam, as well as the lifestyle of the society they belong to, has a significant impact on the formation of the literary identities of Classical Turkish poets. Social values shaped within Islamic beliefs and traditions have led to the emergence of different images in the imagination of poets who are members of the society. Mosques, which found a place as both religious and architectural elements in classical poetry, were compared to the physical characteristics of the lover and the beloved with original connotations. This study was conducted by focusing on the question of how mosques, the most important element of worship, were addressed in poems by classical poets. The lack of any comprehensive study on the subject was the main factor that prompted us to conduct this research. In this direction, XIII. century and XIX. Divans, masnavis and shehrengizs were scanned between the 19th century and the 19th century. The materials obtained were examined meticulously, and concepts that were not directly related to the mosque were excluded from evaluation. The first part of our thesis, which consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion, is discussed under sixteen subheadings, which include concepts such as mosque and mosque-related elements such as masjid, mihrâp, pulpit, mahfil, rostrum, minaret and dome. In each heading, the uses of the concept in question are listed in III order of century. The second part consists of the main title "Mosque Officials" and four subheadings including the concepts of imam, muezzin, preacher and preacher. The third part consists of the main title "Mosque Names" and twenty-seven sub-headings containing poems mentioning the names of mosques. Each title contains religious, architectural, political and legendary narrations about the relevant mosque.
