Abstract (EN)

The mining industry is one of the most dangerous jobs in terms of occupational accidents. In order to prevent mining accidents, it is necessary to analyze the hazards and risks in the mine sites and take measures in this direction. In this study, the precautions to be taken by considering the mining accidents in our country were evaluated and a questionnaire was applied to the mine workers. Age, income status, education level, number of years worked in the mine, age of starting mining were classified and evaluated. As a result of the surveys, occupational accident risks related to underground coal mining were evaluated. When the results of the survey are evaluated, it has been determined that a sufficient level of occupational safety climate is not created in the mining workplaces, that the employees do not have sufficient knowledge and training about the work they do, that the measurement and results of the firedamp in the mine sites are not in compliance with the occupational safety regulations, and that the work equipment is not adequately supplied.
