Abstract (EN)

In this study, researches were carried out in order to increase the occupational safety and reduce the environmental effects of the blastings by considering the blasting goods and the application methods in the production made by the drilling - blasting method in a stone quarry operated in Gaziantep province. In an area where vibration problems occur in the quarry where the initiation is made by the non-electrical detonators, instead of inefficient blastings by non-electrical detonators, the use of electronic detonators which are developed in today's technology to reduce the amount of vibration and worked on increasing the number of blasted holes at one time, with the increase in the number of holes, the blasting efficiency is also increased. In addition, electronic detonators in terms of fly rocks which occur during blastings, compared to non-electrical detonators. Besides that In a series of non-electrical detonators blastings comparing are made. Fly rocks, were examined according to the used materials, hole design and the quarries structure differences.
