Determination of the effects of the Koza Arena Stadium on the urban development and natural structure of Adana

There is an interest in competitions played in stadiums around the world and in our country, especially football. Thus, in our country, the stadiums are restored or new stadiums are built in order to increase capacity or to create more flashy structures. In this study, Koza Arena Stadium, which was started to be constructed in Çarkıpare Neighborhood of Sarıçam District of Adana; and their contribution to urban development, and the development of recommendations for the determination, prevention or improvement of their impact on the natural structure of the stadium and the interaction area. In order to determine the change in the study area by years, lands use maps were created by using satellite imagery. Noise measurements due to stadium, Koza Arena Stadium was not activated on the date determined to make projections, the current stadium in Adana 5 Ocak Stadium 3 different days of noise measurements were made. Field studies and survey data were used to determine visual pollution. In order to assess the access to the stadium, the four main roads connected to the stadium were discussed. The Zoning Plan before the decision of the Koza Arena Stadium and the existing Zoning Plan was evaluated. When the usage maps and zoning plans were evaluated, the effects of urban development on natural structure were investigated together with Koza Arena Stadium. As a result of the findings; suggestions have been developed to prevent and / or reduce various environmental problems.
